The BEE β HUBβ’ Framework
A Non-Partisan, Systems-Thinking Lens for Understanding How Institutions Produce Outcomes
The BEE β HUB is a conceptual framework developed by Dr. Bay Jones to help individuals, educators, and institutional leaders understand how systems β not people β are often the primary drivers of outcomes in education, health care, and civic life.
Rather than asking "What is wrong with these students, families, or communities?" The BEE β HUB asks a more powerful question:
"What is it about the design of this institution that is producing this outcome?"
What TheΒ BEE β HUBΒ Explains
The BEE β HUB framework maps the structural features of institutions β policies, practices, culture, resource distribution, and decision-making processes β and shows how those features interact to produce predictable, measurable outcomes for the people inside them.
This is not a political framework. It is an analytical one. The BEE β HUB can be applied across ideological lines to examine any institution β schools, hospitals, nonprofits, government agencies, or places of worship β with the same rigorous, systems-level lens.
Why It Matters
When we misdiagnose the source of a problem, we design the wrong solutions. The BEE β HUB helps leaders, researchers, educators, and advocates move beyond surface-level explanations and toward structural interventions that can produce change.
The BEE β HUB provides the foundation of Dr. Jones's book,Β We Are NOT The Problem, her courses, and her speaking work.
